The History of Chi Omega
On April 5, 1895, at the University of Arkansas four young women, with the help of a local dentist, established what would become the largest fraternal women's organization with 181 collegiate chapters and over 375,000 initiates. Chi Omega strives to provide its members lifelong friendships, campus and community involvement, and countless opportunities for personal growth and development in college and beyond.
The History of the Rho Kappa Chapter:
The Rho Kappa Chapter was established at Illinois State University in 1974. Our chapter now holds over 120 members, along with a countless number of alumni who continue to contribute to our chapter. Since our chapter was founded we have continued to uphold the expression "to be womanly always and discouraged never."
